From the start of the 2019 season until the end of the 2022 season, no one has scored more goals than Toronto Maple Leafs Auston Matthews.

The guy was dominating the score sheet with goals, and had media personnel thinking he was capable of scoring 70+ this season.

While he is still having a very good year in the goal scoring department, he is down quite a bit from his previous few seasons. At the moment he has 32 goals in 63 games, which results in .51 goals per game, which is down significantly from his .82 goals per game last season.

Matthews is heading into a contract season, where many people are wondering if he will remain with the Maple Leafs, and he has been getting peppered with questions from the media lately about his play and his contract with the Maple Leafs. Yesterday after practice, coach Sheldon Keefe pulled Matthews and Marner aside for a conversation and the media asked about it, and it looks like he might be getting tired of the Toronto media asking questions:

Mark, that's none of your business honestly. I'll keep it between us.
