The Boston Bruins were supposed to be a team that took a bit of a step back this season. But after Patrice Bergeron agreed to come back for one more season and David Krejci made his NHL return, they truly are having a ''last dance'' season in Boston.
The Bruins are currently 1st place in the entire National Hockey League with a 22-4-1 record on the season, which is absolutely incredible.
Tonight they play against the New York Islanders, but they will be without a valuable member of their team.
Second line center David Krejci is set to miss his second straight game with the team.
Krejci spent last season back playing in the Czech, and decided to make an NHL comeback for one last shot at a Stanley Cup this year.
So far on the season he is having possibly his best statistical season ever, scoring 8 goals and 21 points in 23 games.
