Despite spending the first 15 seasons of his NHL coaching career with an offensively challenged Nashville Predators team, Trotz is ranked in 3rd place for all time wins among head coaches. His record is 914-670-60-168, only trailing the legendary Scotty Bowman and Joel Quenneville.
Recently Trotz was let go by the New York Islanders after the team missed the playoffs and believed they needed a new voice, and the hockey world has been fighting over his services ever since.
While Trotz spent the first 15 years of his career in Nashville, he was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
What is causing some confusing recently is Trotz just purchased a multi-million dollar home in Nashville, who's team is not currently looking for a head coach.

After the purchase of this home, it has caused a lot of speculation on what is happening with Barry Trotz, and according to this tweet, he may be interested in a management position with the Nashville Predators.
Friedman on TJMS: «There was a lot of talk about Trotz buying a house in Nashville yesterday One of the things I did think is if he went into management right now, it might be with the Predators, they would be willing to say if you want to come into management, come join us» NHL Watcher (@NHL_Watcher) June 15, 2022
Has Barry accomplished everything he has wanted to during his coaching career? How do you think he would look as the possible next General Manager of the Nashville Predators?
