Two teams that have a bit of history dating back to the 2011 Stanley Cup finals have completed a trade!
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that forward Jack Studnicka has been acquired from the Boston Bruins in exchange for goaltender Michael DiPietro and defenceman Jonathan Myrenberg. Studnicka was thought to be the replacement for David Krejci last season for the Boston Bruins, but it does not seem to have panned out for him and he is on his way to Vancouver:
Michael DiPietro had a great CHL career, but I cannot think of a goalie who has had a worse start to his NHL career:
Myrenberg was a 5th round pick by the Canucks in the 2021 draft.
