BREAKING: Devils Defenseman Suspended For Dirty Slash
Devils defenseman Brendan Smith has been suspended for slashing Travis Konecny after the whistle.
Smith Suspended For Slashing Konecny
Last night Devils defenseman slashed Travis Konecny well after the whistle and had a hearing with the NHL DoPS today.
The DoPS clearly saw that this was a dirty play and decided to suspend Smith for his actions.
New Jersey's Brendan Smith has been suspended for two games for slashing Philadelphia's Travis Konecny.
It could be argued that Smith should have gotten more games as it was well after the whistle while others could argue it should be less because Konecny instigated with a cross-check.
Nonetheless, Smith will be missing some time and will be forced to lose out on thousands of dollars.
