This just in the Montreal Canadiens season is coming to a disappointing end while they are sitting dead last in the NHL after being just 3 wins away from their 25th Stanley Cup last year.
The Canadiens new general manager Kent Hughes has been picking this team up and trying to fix the mess it's in,
The one question that's been on many people's mind with the Canadiens rebuilding/retooling is what are the Habs going to do with their franchise goaltender Carey Price?
During the most recent 32 thoughts podcast with hockey insiders Elliotte Friedman and Jeff Marek they in fact discussed this topic. Marek and Friedman revealed that they believe that Habs GM Kent Hughes is likely going to deal Carey Price:
Elliotte Friedman: "Do we see Carey Price again?" asked Friedman on the podcast. "That's the only other thing for the rest of the season that I look at with them. Because if Carey Price comes back and plays, then I think there's a chance he's playing somewhere else next year."
"I could see Carey Price coming back and playing somewhere else,"
echoed co-host Jeff Marek.
Carey Price hasn't played since losing to the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley cup final.
Price took a leave of absence from the Canadiens in October for substance abuse issues. Price then re-injured his knee trying to make his return to the lineup. This knee has caused Price problems since being run over by Rangers Chris Kreider back in the 2014 Eastern conference finals.
