When it comes to waiver-wire, this has been quite the exciting year for it. To date we've seen quite a few former star players and a LOT of first round picks be put on waivers this year, and it looks like that trend is continuing today.
The New York Islanders have place 2016 19th overall pick Kieffer Bellows on waivers today for the purpose of sending him to the American Hockey League.
Bellows has been with the Islanders full time for the last few seasons, but has often been used as the spare forward. He made it into the lineup for 45 games last season where he scored 6 goals and 19 points.
This season he only played 1 game where he did not register a point and is a -1.
