REPORT: Former STAR player shares story of how he almost FOUGHT John Tortorella

We all know what John Tortorella is like now, he wants the best out of players and if he isn't getting it, he will make you suffer for it. Just recently in Philadelphia, he benched two of his best players for an entire period because he felt they were not playing to their potential.

This brings us back to one of John Tortorella's worst years as a head coach. It was the 2013-14 season and Tortorella was just hired to become the new coach of the Vancouver Canucks. The team had made it to the Stanley Cup finals 3 years prior, but had back-to-back first round exits since and the General Manager at the time thought Tortorella would be the answer.

Ryan Kesler missed all but 17 games in the 2012-13 season and was finally healthy and was ready to go for the new season, but he wasn't prepared for what was going to happen with his new head coach:
