BREAKING: Oilers Steal New Head Coach From Rangers Organization
A few minutes ago, it was reported that the Oilers had relieved Jay Woodcroft from his duties as head coach.
His replacement has been announced.
Oilers Fire Woodcroft, Steal Coach From Rangers' AHL Affiliate
According to Frank Seravalli, Kris Knoblauch the current coach of the Hartford Wolf Pack, the Rangers' affiliate in the AHL.
"Hearing Kris Knoblauch is incoming as next #Oilers coach."
"I'm hearing that Hartford Wolf Pack coach Kris Knoblauch is the new coach of the Edmonton Oilers. McDavid former coach in junior."
"Senior advisor Paul Coffey is also stepping behind the bench as assistant coach, according to the Oilers.
Dave Manson was fired along with Jay Woodcroft."
