The Detroit Red Wings have lost one of their star players Patrick Kane after he suffered a potentially serious injury in tonight's game.
Kane Leaves Game With Significant Injury
Tonight during a game against the Toronto Maple Leafs Patrick Kane went down after an awkward fall. Kane was tangled up with Maple Leafs forward Pontus Holmberg in what looked like an innocent fall to the ice. Kane would sprint off the ice and head to the locker room.
At the time of the injury Red Wings fans were hopeful Kane would be able to return. Unfortunately, an update from the Red Wings confirmed that Kane would be done for the night with a lower-body injury.
UPDATE: Patrick Kane (lower body injury) will not return tonight.
Now the Red Wings and their fans will wait with baited breath as Kane is evaluated. Everyone is hoping the injury is not related to the hip injury that Kane just got back from recovering.
As the Red Wings or other trusted sources provide updates on Kane's status we will provide those updates to you.
