In the next 17 days before the trade deadline, he is expected to approve a trade that will finally see Kane in another NHL uniform.
When the New York Rangers made the big move last week to bring in Vladimir Tarasenko, it apparently really frustrated Kane. Kane is still playing at a very high level and wants to win another Stanley Cup in his career, but there have been some reports that he is playing through an injury, and that is apparently the reason the New York Rangers went a different direction.
We now know why Kane was so upset though. It's now been reported that Patrick Kane is only willing to waive his No-Trade-Clause for two teams, one of them being the Rangers.
NHL Analyst, Carlo Colaiacovo had this to say:
"Based on people I've talked to, if Patrick Kane were to accept a trade somewhere, the two teams on his list are the Rangers and the Leafs..."@carlocolaiacovo shared an interesting nugget on First Up this morning regarding Patrick Kane.
Should the Leafs be interested in Kane? pic.twitter.com/MS2H1jKz7T TSN 1050 Toronto (@TSN1050Radio) February 14, 2023
It's been reported that Kane and Auston Matthews have a desire to play together, being two of the best American born players of all time. Could we see a Patrick Kane to the Toronto Maple Leafs trade incoming?
