Over the last few years, we've seen some hilarious and amazing moments where EBUG's (emergency back up goalies) have been called in to play and well, let's just say the Maple Leafs are still a little sore about it.

Tonight the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Columbus Blue Jackets and they were hit with some bad news this morning.

At the moment multiple players on the team are currently "game time decisions" with an illness.

The Penguins reporter Taylor Hasse reported that they could be without Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Casey DeSmith for tonights game.

Neither of the three were at the teams practice yesterday, and while Malkin and DeSmith did return today, Crosby was still absent from practice.

As the Penguins are a team that does not have a lot of Cap space, and with Kris Letang close to returning, they do not have the room to bring up a goaltender, so they could be playing tonights game with an EBUG as an actual backup.

EBUG Mike Chiasson is on the ice for the optional morning skate. If Casey DeSmith is still sick and Kris Letang isn't going on LTIR then Chiasson pretty much has to back up, they don't have cap space for a recall.
