The future of the Coyotes has been decided with the Tempe City Council's vote being declared! Read more to find out the future of the Coyotes!
Coyotes Find Out About Future In Arizona
In 2021, the Arizona Coyotes proposed an arena plan that would secure their future in Tempe Arizona. This plan would cost 2.1 billion dollars to undertake and would cost the city of Tempe a lot of money.
Today, the city council voted on whether or not to approve the proposal and begin construction on the proposed arena and the result will shock you.
With the council saying no, it opens up a new realm of possibilities for new NHL teams.
Of the cities rumored to want to house the Coyotes (or the rebranded team), some of the front runners include Quebec, Houston, Salt Lake City, and Sacramento.
Each of these cities could reasonably house an NHL team and is a larger market than Arizona which would likely result in a very strong and passionate fan base.
