Colorado Avalanche add a familiar face via trade with the Blackhawks

The Chicago Blackhawks have traded veteran defenseman Jack Johnson to the Colorado Avalanche. The deal, which was announced on February 26th, 2023, saw the Blackhawks receive Andreas Englund in return for the 36-year-old Johnson.
Johnson, has been in the NHL 15+ years, has played for several teams including the Los Angeles Kings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Pittsburgh Penguins. He signed with the Blackhawks in the 2022 offseason as a free agent.
The Avalanche bring back a familiar face as they look to make another Cup run.
