Connor Bedard has been surrounded by hype for years now. From his time in the WHL with Regina to the NHL Draft to now where he is a superstar already. This hype led to some backlash from veteran coaches and players around the league that Bedard had to prove wrong.
Bedard Faces Hate From Veterans And Former Players
During the early part of his career, Connor Bedard faced a ton of backlash claiming that he was overhyped. Especially as the Blackhawks struggled at the beginning of the year the criticism continued.
Add in the Corey Perry scandal and Connor Bedard has faced quite the chaotic first half of his rookie year. Since the Perry controversy was put behind Bedard and his family the rookie has really started to pick up his game. During this process, he has quieted any doubt from those who hated on him.
Bedard Quiets The Doubters And Haters With His Recent Play
In his last 10 games in the NHL Connor Bedard has 12 points. Amongst those 12 points are some fascinating high-skill level plays. The best was arguably the Michigan-style goal Bedard scored.
These kinds of plays have shut the mouths of anyone around the league who was complaining or upset with all of the hype.
Bedard has shown his high-end skill despite the lack of wins coming together for the Blackhawks. He is in store for a bright future that we are already seeing huge glimpses of.
