Bedard Comments On The Heartbreak

Following the loss, Connor Bedard shares his thoughts:

Connor Bedard was heartbroken about Canada's loss in World Juniors: "I know a lot of guys on the team, and being a Canadian, we take a lot of pride in that. I just feel bad for those guys and how hard they played. It sucks, for sure."

Bedard has been teammates with a few of these players playing Canadian high school hockey with Fraser Minten and winning the 2023 WJC with Owen Beck. He was eligible to return to the WJC for his third possible year but given how he is an NHL star, the Blackhawks were not going to let him go.

While unfortunate for Team Canada, there is hope that Bedard will be able to represent them at future competitions like the Olympics or World Championships.
