Darren Dreger reveals the latest On Evander Kane's future with Oilers
So far things have been well between the Edmonton Oilers and Evander Kane, which to the surprise of many, especially after the rocky way Kane left the San Jose Sharks. Not to mention all the off ice allegations against Kane from his ex wife Anna.
But Edmonton Oilers general manager Ken Holland the decision earlier in the season to bring Evander Kane in and it's worked wonders with his star Connor McDavid.
Playing on McDavid's wing, Kane has actually proved to be pretty valuable this season putting up 22 goals and 17 assists.
Darren Dreger stated that the Oilers '' will be tryingas hard as possible" to get Kane locked up in a contract.
"Well I can tell you that both the New York Rangers and the Edmonton Oilers are going to try as hard as possible to extend the contracts of Andrew Copp and Evander Kane. Now, there's no guarantee, of course. These guys are both pending top unrestricted free agents.
In Andrew Copp, talk about a chemistry experiment that has been highly successful. Perfect fit with Artemi Panarin. And Evander Kane has been an excellent complement on the left side with Connor McDavid. But you do have to go through the negotiation.

Kane was a huge part of the Oilers making the playoffs and was an instant impact. Wouldn't surprise us if we see Holland dumping a few players to be able to fit in Evander for next season.
