The Carolina Hurricanes have made a move in the NHL Trade Deadline with less than four days to go. According to reports, the team has been exploring all available options and has now reached an agreement to acquire Jesse Puljujarvi, a former 4th overall pick who has been on the trade block for the Oilers for about eight months.
This is a significant step for the Oilers, who are said to be in the market for a defenseman. Pierre LeBrun, a reputable hockey insider, broke the news of the acquisition via Twitter, but no information on the return has been disclosed yet.
In an update, it has been revealed that the Oilers will be receiving Patrik Puistola, a former 3rd round pick, in exchange for Puljujarvi.
