5 years ago Sidney Crosby and Marc Methot were involved in 2 different incidents.
The first involved Crosby slashing Methot and part of his finger coming off as a result.
A month and a half later Crosby and Methot were involved in a fight (pictured) where Methot appears to be eye gouging Crosby.
Methot admitted to as much in a recent tweet:
"5 years ago, Sid took away a piece of me. A month and a half later in the playoffs, I tried taking an eye from him. And this year, he graciously signed a game stick for me. Water under the bridge now. Class act."
The money involved in professional hockey can often take away from the sportmanship so this reconciliation between the 2 players is really great to see.
