The New York Rangers are currently sitting 2nd in the Metropolitan division and are in a fight with the Carolina Hurricanes for 1st in the division. Last night they were playing the Islanders who are currently not in a playoff spot, and the Rangers desperately needed those 2 points to stay in the hunt for first.
Well, the Rangers did not register a single goal in the game, losing 3-0 to the Islanders, and coach Gerard Gallant was less than impressed with his teams performance.
