The Seattle Kraken has their inaugural game last night when they were hosted by the other most recent expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights. In the first 30 minutes the Kraken definitely looked like an expansion team giving up goals to Max Pacioretty (2} and Jonathan Marchessault.
But then things seemed to click.
Seattle rushed back with goals from Ryan Donato, Jared McCann and Morgan Geekie. The Kraken were right back in the game until Chandler Stephenson scored what would end up being a controversial game winning goal.
Adam Larsson had his pass picked off on a dangerous clearing attempt and as the Knights entered the zone Mark Stone made a beautiful pass across to Stephenson who had the puck go off his toe and in.
This play was deemed a good goal, what are your thoughts? Is there a distinct kicking motion?
This goal went on to stand as the GWG and the Kraken lost 4-3 in regulation.
