In a surprise announcement the NHL has fined Ian Cole $5,000 for his knee-on-knee hit of Mark Scheifele.
Cole was issued a 5 minute major and game misconduct for this knee.
What makes this surprising is just Monday Neal Pionk was suspended 2 games for his knee-on-knee hit on Rasmus Sandin.
Georges Parros continues his uneven performance as head of Player Safety as he continues to do what many would consider an extremely poor job.
