Jacob Trouba Single Handedly Takes On Entire Flyers Team
Jacob Trouba has a well-earned reputation as one of the most physical players in the league. Opinions on his are divided, but many believe he is a dirty player. Regardless, he is certainly a physical player. Tonight that physicality was on full display.
Trouba Makes Physical Presence Felt Against Philadelphia Flyers
The Flyers hosted the Rangers tonight and as usual, Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba was not the most polite guest. The Rangers Captain made a big, but clean hit on Nicolas Deslauriers, who immediately tried to seek revenge, but was unsuccessful as Trouba ignored him.
Just a few seconds later, Trouba laid another massive hit on Garnet Hathaway as Deslauriers was still pestering him.
Trouba Looks To Lead Rangers To Stanley Cup Championship
The Rangers went on to win the game by a final score of 3-1. The victory improved the Ranger's record to 14-3-1 as they are starting to run away with the Metro division. Trouba has a goal and six assists so far this season to go along with his 24 penalty minutes and 45 hits through 18 games. Interestingly. Trouba was not credited with a hit tonight, despite what appeared to be obvious hits on Hathaway and Deslauriers.
As seen on Jacob Trouba singlehandedly wrecks the Flyers
