Jordan Binnington awkwardly BELLY FLOPS on Connor McDavid (video)
Last night the Edmonton Oilers were hosting the St. Louis Blues, in what finished as a 4-3 shootout win for the Blues.
The game started off interesting with the rare penalty call for starting the wrong lineup for the Blues, which resulted in a powerplay goal for the Oilers, but the Blues fought back for the eventual win.
During the game, Jordan Binnington made an ''interesting'' move when he and superstar Connor McDavid collided.
Binnington has a reputation of making some controversial plays. Just recently we have seen him try to bodycheck Jordan Staal, who ended up just running him over. In his next game he hit Jason Zucker in the face with his glove, which sent him to the ice in pain. Then shortly after that, he tried to challenge the entire Pittsburgh Penguins bench after he got pulled for allowing his 4th goal of the game.
Last season we saw him try to challenge the opposing goaltender on multiple occasions, and we also saw him throw a water bottle at Nazem Kadri during a post-game interview.
Last night While McDavid was trying to capitalize on a scoring chance he was pushed off balance into Binnington, and probably knowing who it was, Binnington didn't do anything dirty to him, he just did something awkward. He decided to belly flop ontop of him.
