Creative travel for Canadian playoff teams. The Oilers flew to Vancouver last night and will bus into Washington today before flying to LA. While this adds to the travel times of visiting teams crossing the border Dreger points out that this is not new and has been done by teams during the regular season as well.

With Canadian and American governments having different approaches to COVID cross-border traveling has been a contentious issue as this creative travel arrangements have shown.
Thankfully NHL teams have some of great travel agents and logistics managers able to get them to and from games and accommodations comfortably.
Gone are the days of George Costanza's working as assistant to the traveling secretary for professional sports teams!
