The Leafs will play Tampa on Saturday night at home which will be exciting for Toronto fans who are waiting for their team to make it past the first round of the playoffs.
That road is through the back-to-back Stanley Cup winners which will be difficult, but this could be Toronto's time.
Shanahan and Dubas are widely seen as the braintrust behind the Leafs success in recent year, and while that hasn't translated in post-season wins or that elusive cup appearance everyone is hoping for, both will surely be on the edge of their seats Saturday night!
Four years ago today, Brendan Shanahan hired Kyle Dubas to be the GM of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
They are the reason I decided to get back into hockey after a long hiatus. It's been worth it. If you asked me who my favourite Maple Leafs are, it's them. pic.twitter.com/g4DheIVJLR leafs mngmt fan (@managinghockey) May 11, 2022
