The Toronto Maple Leafs went into Tampa looking to do something they haven't done since 2004 and that's win a playoff series. They had a golden opportunity leading the series 3-2 over the two time defending Stanley Cup champions Tampa Bay Lightning.
But unfortunately if your a Leafs fan you know what happened, the Leafs would give up the 3-2 lead with a 3rd period power play goal from Nikita Kucherov.
This one would go to Overtime and Brayden Point would score 18:03 into Overtime forcing game 7 in Toronto Saturday night.
The Leafs haven't won a playoff series since 2004 and are 0-9 during the Matthews/Marner in ''close-out'' games but that doesn't seem to bother Leafs super star Auston Matthews who had his game-face on speaking with the media after the game saying,
"We've got to go out their and put our balls on the line and go for it." - Auston Matthews
Jokes aside the Leafs have one last shot to do something special with the lineup they have or changes will likely come.
