You will never see a happier person in the NHL or someone that is more hard on himself than Marc-Andre Fleury.
When Fleury was acquired in a trade from the Chicago Blackhawks, he was an instant hero in Minnesota.
Fans started a new tradition of throwing flowers, he was setting records, it seemed like a match made in paradise.
Well, for the last four games it has been anything but. The last four games, three have been against teams that are well outside a playoff spot in, San Jose Sharks, Seattle Kraken & the Arizona Coyotes, one game being against the playoff-bound Nashville Predators. But in these 4 games, while Fleury has went 3-1-0, he has recorded well below a .900 save percentage, including back-to-back games with a .840 SV%. Thats not like Fleury and he's definitely taking it hard.
Heres what he had to say after the game:
"It was a good team for us to get two points against, personally, I just have to be better. I've been giving up a lot of goals lately and its making me mad. But just gotta keep working and practicing hard and go win the next one."
Just overall, I feel like there's always a goal I can have and make it different for the team instead of going to OT or getting behind in there. There were some good saves in there, but I can't give up that much and expect our team to win every night. So yeah, just gotta clean that up."
With the Playoffs starting next week, this is not the time for Fleury to enter a slump.
