Sean Avery has announced that he's returning to professional hockey. After 10-years away from the sport he once loved, he has officially announced his return. Avery, officially announced today that he'd signed a contract with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears.
This appears to be the first step in Avery's hope to return to the NHL. While many people found this interesting, one person in particular wasn't happy to hear about Avery's return and that one person was Matthew Barnaby. Barnaby immediately took to Twitter to offer his services to any team in the Solar Bears' division.
Avery and Barnaby have a checkered past as Barnaby had previously challenged Avery to a boxing match, to which Avery refused to accept. After signing Avery to the contract the Solar Bears reached out to push Barnaby just a little.
