The Arizona Coyotes were officially relocated by the NHL this past off-season, and now they've been dealt an insult with the NHL picking their quarter-century team, with one of the worst squads we've ever seen put together.

After over 25 years, the Arizona Coyotes were relocated this summer to Utah, forming the Utah Hockey Club, ending what is one of the most disappointing runs in NHL history.

During that time, the team struggled mightily to draft and develop talent, reaching the Stanley Cup Playoffs just nine times between 1996 and 2024, with their struggling roster the prime reason behind it.

Now, the NHL has shown just how bad the roster was over that time, as they announced the Quarter Century Teams for every team in the NHL, now adding in the Arizona Coyotes.

While teams like Pittsburgh, Chicago, Washington, Toronto, Edmonton, and so many others are filled with current stars and future Hall of Famers, the same can't be said for Arizona.

Just one current player was added to the list in Clayton Keller, and while there are names like Shane Doan and Jeremy Roenick, having the likes of Radim Vrbata and Zbynek Michalek shows just how bad they were.

While the state began one of the NHL's most solid development programs, with the likes of Auston Matthews and Matthew Knies coming from the area, the support for the team from the organization just wasn't enough, and after years of incompetence, the fanbase's support soon followed.

Unfortunately, Arizona's tenure in the NHL will largely be forgotten over the years, and when we look back on this team in years to come, we will see just why, as this is one of the most miserable and disappointing teams we've ever seen put together, even with some big names on the list.
