On this day in Hockey History: Crosby reaches historic milestone (Feb 16)

On February 16th 2017, Sidney Crosby became the 86th player in NHL history to accomplish a historic milestone.
In a game against the Winnipeg Jets, Crosby assisted on a goal by Chris Kunitz to give him his 1000th career point.
"He's a tremendous player," Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said. "The fact that he scored 1,000 points in [757] games that he has, I think is just a testament to the player that he is and the character of the person. He's an ultra-competitive guy. He loves to win."
Five years later, Crosby just recorded his 500th career goal and his 1371th point of his NHL career in just 1077 games.
