Penguins Coach Caught Committing a Fireable Offence
Right before overtime, a Penguins coach was caught "drawing up a play" where he had absolutely nothing for them to do.
Reirden Caught Drawing Up Nothing
Recently a clip went viral of Pittsburgh Penguin's assistant coach Todd Reirdan getting ready for overtime by drawing up a play. However, the play Reirden drew up was nonexistent.
Penguins assistant coach Todd Reirden needs to get fired after this
i was about to make a joke about this being todd reirden until i realized that this was literally todd reirden
The Penguins have struggled in overtime this season winning only one game in overtime all season. Reirden not drawing up plays has certainly added to the Penguins' lack of OT success.
Rierden's Coaching Career
Reirden has spent most of his coaching career in the Penguins organization starting his professional coaching career with their AHL affiliate. He went to the rival Capitals in 2014-15 as an assistant and helped them win a Stanley Cup in 2018.
He was then promoted to Capitals head coach in 2018-19 but only lasted two seasons. Afterwards, he went back to the Penguins and has been with them ever since.
