Former Senators defenseman Jason York, who co-hosts the Coming in Hot Podcast with former TSN Broadcaster Brett Wallace, has circulated a rumour that the Washington Capitals are interested in dealing Tom Wilson to the Ottawa Senators.
York on the Coming In Hot Podcast:
Your boy Tom Wilson, I'll throw a rumor out there. I'm hearing the Capitals are interested in making a deal with the Senators. I've heard that. I'd love to see how Tom Wilson has bounced back from his surgery.
Ottawa Sun reporter Bruce Garrioch took to Twitter after hearing this on the podcast.
The 2018 Stanley Cup Champion only made it into 33 games last season, needing much of the season to recover from surgery on a torn ACL last summer. Wilson recorded 13 goals and 9 assists in these 33 games, and is about to enter the final year of his contract.
