Ryan Reaves was just traded from the New York Rangers to the Minnesota Wild a few weeks ago, and as the last official enforcer in the NHL at the age of 36, his time could be coming to an end in the National Hockey League.
The new NHL is young and quick, with much less physicality, which is definitely not the elements that Reaves brings to the table. He is currently a UFA at the end of this season and it might be difficult for him to find a contract next season in the NHL.
Saturday night he joined the Hockey Night in Canada crew after hours and when speaking with Scott Oake, he revealed his plans after he retires.
It's the only thing I'm looking forward to in retiring, I'm not gonna lie. I'm going to whoop him up and down that ring.
The veteran enforcer definitely is not looking forward to retiring, but atleast we can all look forward to seeing these two in a boxing ring!
