When Pierre McGuire was added to the Ottawa Senators management group there were a lot of questions surrounding what his role would be and how it would workout for the Senators. Amidst an absolutely awful start to the season those questions are being raised again and by none other than former GM Blue Jackets and turned analyst Doug MacLean.

MacLean issued the following quotes about the Senators situation:

"Seriously what the hell is going on in Ottawa. Ottawa ends on a real high last year... and the owner brings McGuire in there, are you kidding me?"

MacLean shared he was clearly against adding McGuire to the management group from the beginning. But MacLean doesn't stop there going after McGuire's media antics.

"And all of a sudden now where is McGuire? I read every day he was doing articles two months ago and all of a sudden he has disappeared. He's Waldo in the hockey world right now. He has disappeared off the face of the earth when they haven't been winning games. I can't believe it's a great working environment with McGuire, Dorion and Eugene right now."

Other sources have suggested that McGuire came into Ottawa and completely changed the Senators draft plan and has caused nothing but turmoil since arriving. Many believing McGuire saw this as his route back to a GM job.
