Last night Marc-Andre Fleury notched his 500th career win and his team celebrated this moment on the ice with him, but there were 3 other players who remained on the ice to take part in this amazing celebration.
David Savard, Chris Wideman and Mathieu Perreault all remained on the ice to salute the future Hall of Famer after his amazing achievement.
These 3 veterans exemplify all the qualities you want in someone who pull on the Canadiens jersey. They show respect to their logo and to the outstanding accomplishments of their opponents. This is sort of leadership this team is desperately lacking this season and I'm sure if Shea Weber, Carey Price or Joel Edmundson were on the ice we'd have seen more Canadiens taking in these moments.
We've seen in the past those who observe greatness often try and achieve it.
I hope Jeff Gorton takes notes of these sort of players as he looks to rebuild the culture in Montreal.
