We all know we have seen some crazy calls from Officials that had us scratching our heads. But this one had to take the cake. This comes from former NHL'er Ryan Whitney who now owns and runs a successful podcast and social media site called Spittin Chiclets.
Ryan Whitney just shared this video during a minor league league championship game in Chicago where the referee makes one of the worst calls we ever seen in lives.
The goaltending clearly stopped this shot but somehow was called a goal. This happened during an under U14 Championship game.
I know there's no way of reviewing goals in minor league hockey games but come on, we can see it from this low quality cell phone footage that it wasn't a goal how didn't the Ref standing next to the goalie not?
