left Team USA's game against Sweden with an apparent injury, and an update on his condition has finally been provided to the public.

Team USA, led by Mike Sullivan, has Thursday's 4 Nations title meeting with Canada. With their 2-1 loss in their earlier round-robin meeting with Sweden, where Swedish goalie Samuel Ersson saved 31 shots, their morale has been kept intact.

The American team had qualified for Thursday's title, where they are meeting a team of Canadians, who had defeated Finland and sent Sweden away. The championship spotlight has been shone on them.

Brady Tkachuk was initially held out for precautionary reasons

However, challenges still lie ahead. There are injuries, and Sullivan had a tell-it-like-it-is report on Brady Tkachuk and others following their loss to Sweden. There can be doubts, yes, but there's also hope for others.

"Brady obviously had a lower body injury. We held him out more for precautionary reasons at that point. I haven't got an update to this point after the game yet, so we'll see how he responds, but I don't anticipate it being an issue."

Tkachuk took a harsh fall towards the start of the Sweden game, stumbling on a drive down the circle and into the crease on Ersson. Being unfit for duty for the second period, his departure had the American team's bench playing shorthanded.

Now, we finally have received an update on the status of Tkachuk for the team's championship game on Thursday against Canada. It appears that he, along with his brother Matthew, intend to in fact play in the final game.

With their greatest challenge still ahead of them, Team USA must fight against any type of adversity they may face if they're even going to stand a chance to win the title.
