A former NHL coach made a massive proposition to Jon Cooper ahead of the 4 Nations Face-Off Finals between Team Canada and Team USA.

The 4 Nations Face-Off gave hockey fans some of the best on-ice moments in the last decade, notably in the game between Team Canada and Team USA.

Last weekend, the Canadians and the Americans met on the ice, and we definitely saw the rivalry at its peak.

Three fights occurred in the first 10 seconds of the game, and for the rest of the evening, intensity remained at a high level, showing how much players wanted to win.

However, Canada lost and had to beat Team Finland to qualify for the Finals. According to former NHL head coach Bruce Boudreau, Jon Cooper, Team Canada's head coach, should consider making an important lineup change involving Sidney Crosby and Mitch Marner.

In a recent interview, Boudreau revealed that he would place Crosby on the third line with Mitch Marner to add depth to the lineup.

In his own words:

"If we put Sidney in the middle on the third line, and you put him with Marner and moved some things around, I think then you get the complete depth. That's what you would want, and that's something that I'd like to see."

Boudreau added that he wouldn't make those changes now because the team was dominant against Finland, and the players showed great chemistry:

"But right now, I wouldn't change anything, because for 56 minutes, they were completely dominant. They looked like they had great cohesion. Everything was flowing. And I would at least start with that group, and then let's see where it goes from there."

Marner scored the overtime goal against Sweden in the first game but hasn't been able to have an offensive impact on his team since.

It would be interesting to see him paired with Crosby, but separating him from Nathan MacKinnon wouldn't be an easy call.
