The Vancouver Canucks and
Elias Pettersson, however, are another story altogether. The Canucks have only won two of their first five games, and
Pettersson just doesn't seem to be himself as of late. The forward, with only one goal in the final 11 regular-season games with Vancouver last season, had even less impact once the Stanley Cup Playoffs started, scoring just one goal in 13 games. So far this season in his team's five games, he has yet to score a goal and has only managed two assists. He looks tentative, unsure of himself, and even a little fearful at times. He avoids contact, often skating past the play, not chasing down the puck, and frequently giving it away.
These are all disturbing features that the Canucks organization desperately needs answers to ASAP.
