UFC President Dana White calls out the NHL for their use of the Sphere
The 2024 NHL Draft was one of the most exciting events in recent NHL memory, but UFC President Dana White has called the league out for some strange reason.
Over the past few years of Gary Bettman's reign in the NHL, there's been plenty of reasons to call out his shortcomings, but now, Dana White has done so in a strange way. The UFC use Las Vegas as a home base for their events, and with the emergence of The Sphere as a premier event in the sports world, the two leagues are putting on events there.
The NHL took the 2024 NHL Draft to the Sphere, and with the excitement of trades, the unpredictability of the picks and the presentation, it was seen as a major win for the NHL. Now, White has inexplicably called out the NHL for the event, claiming the UFC will blow it out of the water.
What i did see was how they did the rankings, that's going to be like kids playing with crayons compared to what we are going to do.
It's unclear why White continues to call out Bettman and the NHL, but the draft was received well by most that were in attendance and watched at home, so the league should continue to be proud of what they accomplished last weekend.
