Jack Johnson has had a very solid NHL career thus far. Originally being drafted third overall by the Carolina Hurricanes, Johnson was traded to the LA Kings before being able to get into a game in Carolina. He then took his talents to Columbus where he spent the majority of his career.
Since leaving Columbus, Johnson played with the Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Colorado Avalanche, with whom he won a Stanley Cup.
It was just announced that Johnson would be returning to his longtime club, the Blue Jackets, on a one-year deal.
The best years of Johnson's career were spent in Columbus and now as a veteran who has played over 1000 games, Johnson will look to mentor young talent like David Jiricek and Denton Mateychuk next year and help them learn the NHL ropes.
