The Carolina Hurricanes and New York Islanders are facing off in the first round and the Hurricanes have employed a cheap tactic to get the upper hand on the Islanders by not giving goaltender Ilya Sorokin a chair forcing him to stand for the entire game.

It is no secret that during the playoffs teams will go to lengthy measures to get an upper hand on their opponent. The Hurricanes and the Islanders are currently playing the first game of their matchup and the Hurricanes appear to have employed a cheap tactic to get the upper hand on the Islanders.

Sorokin doesn't have a chair as the backup for this game 😅

By forcing Ilya Sorokin to stand, they are banking on if Sorokin has to come in, he may be a bit more tired than if he was able to sit for the game.

It also is not completely known if Sorokin does have a chair or not because the Hurricanes typically give the opposing goaltender a chair.

They have had chairs every season maybe he doesn't want to sit.

Whether Sorokin is standing by choice or not, the Hurricanes may be getting a slight edge due to it.
