Matthew Tkachuk takes a final shot at the city of Edmonton after winning the cup
Matthew Tkachuk and the Florida Panthers are now Stanley Cup Champions and after winning the cup, Tkachuk took a final jab at the city of Edmonton.
After an exciting game seven, the Florida Panthers just barely edged out the Edmonton Oilers and are the 2024 Stanley Cup Champions.
After the game, Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk took a jab at the city of Edmonton dating back to his days with the Calgary Flames.
Matthew Tkachuk during post-game celebrations on Sportsnet: «Shoutout to my fans in Calgary still. You know I couldn't let Edmonton win.»
Matthew Tkachuk scored 22 points on the road to winning the Stanley Cup. Despite not getting onto the score sheet in game seven, he certainly made his presence known.
The Panthers' victory now makes it 31 straight years where an American team has won the Stanley Cup and if one thing is for certain, the Oilers will come back next year with a vengence.
