NHL shared an awful explanation to the worst call of the 2024 playoffs
This evening, the Panthers vs Bruins game was decided by a single goal and one of those scored was the most controversial of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Down 2-1, the Florida Panthers were making a push on the powerplay to even the game up. That's when Panthers forward Sam Bennett pushed Bruins centerman Charlie Coyle into goaltender Jeremy Swayman, picked up the loose puck, and potted it into the back of the net.
Here are some alternate angles of the goal which proved to be quite controversial.

The NHL later provided an explanation for the play.
Clearly, a horrible explanation, the Bruins were screwed over and most hockey fans agreed with the sentiment.
This goal would tie the game up and captain Aleksander Barkov would score the Panthers' third straight goal going up 3-2 which would be the final score of the game.
The Bruins are now down 3-1 in the series and will need to mount a miraculous comeback if they want to make the Eastern Conference Finals.
