Apparently, after new footage, it seems like it isn't as "accidental" as it seems. Despite the dirtiness of the play, Bennett didn't end up receiving discipline by the league.

It's too late for the NHL to react, however it will be interesting to see how Marchand's teammates will step up for their captain.
