Player Attacks Goalie in Wild AHL Clash

image

In an unexpected turn during last night's AHL game, Belleville Senators' player Brennan Saulnier engaged in a confrontation with Laval Rocket's goaltender, Kasimir Kaskisuo. Despite the general hockey rule that goalkeepers are not to be involved in physical altercations, Saulnier seemed to ignore this norm and targeted Kaskisuo after play had stopped.

Kasimir Kaskisuo didn't appreciate a shot from Brennan Saulnier after the whistle for offside, so Saulnier attacks the Rocket goalie.

The situation quickly escalated, resulting in Saulnier being outnumbered as players rallied to Kaskisuo's defense.

However, it's important to note that Saulnier still had feelings from the last encouter with Laval, only two days prior to this incident.

This incident follows a recent altercation two nights before, where Saulnier engaged with Arber Xhekaj.

Xhekaj had the upper hand in that encounter, landing significant strikes and ultimately bringing Saulnier down.
