Alex Galchenyuk reaches all-time low after being released by KHL team
Just a year after being kicked out of the NHL due to a horrifying arrest Alex Galchenyuk has yet again been released this time by his KHL club SKA St. Petersburg.
Alex Galchenyuk infamously now known for threatening an American police officer after being arrested. His arrest and a terrible video of his threats and treatment of the officer led to his release by the Arizona Coyotes and indefinite suspension from the NHL.
The Arizona Coyotes announced today that the Club has terminated the contract of forward Alex Galchenyuk. The Coyotes have issued the following statement:
This time he has plummeted once again when it comes to his hockey career as he was released by top KHL club SKA St. Petersburg. The news is not all bad though for Alex Galchenyuk as he was immediately scooped up by Amur Khabarovsk a lower level KHL team.
Alex Galchenyuk, who signed a two-year deal with SKA of the KHL in August 2023, has been released from his deal.
He then signed a one-year contract with Amur Khabarovsk in the far east side of Russia.
This is likely a step down again for Alex Galchenyuk but could be a more permanent home for him in the NHL. Due to his disgusting actions, Alex Galchenyuk likely will never be welcomed back into the NHL. He will now have to find his way with a career in the KHL where staying in one home is incredibly uncertain.
