Anaheim Ducks prospect netminder Damian Clara has himself a new team today after his season was disrupted by a shocking move.

The Anaheim Ducks have shown some signs of improvement this season but they remain one of the worst teams in the NHL, as they currently sit in 6th place in the Pacific Division.

Luckily, the team has one of the stronger prospect pools in the league, so at the very least, they should continue to improve over the next few seasons, eventually getting back into the playoffs.

The team's best prospect in goal is 2023 2nd round pick Damian Clara, with his 6'6" frame and strong skating giving him NHL starter potential.

Unfortunately though his career has been derailed somewhat since he was drafted.

Yesterday, it came out that his contract with Färjestad BK of the SHL was terminated.

Clara had a 9-10-0 record, an .879 save percentage, and a 3.19 goals-against-average in 21 games for the club this season.

Now his future remains uncertain, but at least he has a home for the remainder of the season.

He has been loaned to Karpat of the Finish league, where he is expected to get a chance to become the team's starter.

Both goalies already on the roster have struggled this season, putting up .881 and .885 save percentages respectively.

This is a chance for Clara to get back on the right track and resume his journey to the NHL.

The Ducks certainly will not want to give up on him considering how highly he was drafted and how young he still is.

That being said, there is a lot of work he needs to do with his game before he can plan on making a career in North America.
