Not the most ideal time for the Boston Bruins to receive news like this as they set their sights on clinching a playoff spot. As announced by Jim Montgomery, Bruins defenceman will see himself out of action for the foreseeable future as he was listed as week to week with an injury.

Lindholm out with injury for a while

Boston Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm suffered a injury in their monday night victory over the 1st place central division Dallas Stars.

After the game , bruins coach Jim Montgomery said that they would not know anything until Tuesday.

«I don't have anything concrete yet,» Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said after the game. «We'll know more [Tuesday].»

Today we just received an update regarding his status.

Hampus Lindholm is week to week. No surgery.

Depending on how long the Bruins will be left without him, we can see GM Don Sweeney potentially be looking at the defensive market before the March 8th NHL trade deadline.
